BRB Life's Calling DRK

BRB Life’s Calling is a survey design project investigating how social media and technology influence social and mental health. The project aimed to go beyond numbers, capturing personal insights and emotional responses that reveal the deeper effects of digital engagement on everyday life. The findings from this survey directly informed the foundation of the Unplug Australia project, helping shape a campaign that encourages mindfulness, balance, and real-world connection in an increasingly digital world.

For the survey’s design, I wanted to create a modern scrapbook aesthetic, combining tactile, hand-crafted elements with contemporary visuals. This approach encouraged participants to connect with the content on a personal level, reflecting on the contrast between their physical lives and their online presence. By integrating textures, layered imagery, and playful layouts, the survey became more than a tool for gathering data—it became an immersive experience that invited reflection and introspection.

Through BRB Life’s Calling, I explored the power of design to communicate complex ideas and emotions, turning research into a visually engaging narrative. The project demonstrates how thoughtful design can foster connection, prompt reflection, and transform abstract data into meaningful stories.
