VegBites

VegBites is a brand concept for a vegan dog treat range developed in response to a creative brief for fictional parent company Walbert. Positioned within an already saturated pet food market, the project explores how a plant based product can stand apart through strong visual identity, clear messaging, and a more considered approach to ingredient transparency.

The concept was built around Walbert’s key point of difference: a less is more philosophy focused on quality ingredients and no unnecessary additives. Rather than relying on the visual language often seen across traditional dog treat packaging, the direction aimed to create something more contemporary, playful, and shelf confident, while still feeling approachable to everyday dog owners.

Bold colour, expressive typography, and energetic composition were used to create a visual system that feels lively and distinctive across packaging and campaign applications. The identity was designed to capture the joy and personality associated with rewarding dogs, while reinforcing the simplicity of the product itself. Messaging was kept light and confident, helping the brand communicate plant based treats in a way that feels positive rather than overly explanatory.

The broader campaign direction considered how VegBites could extend beyond packaging into advertising, social content, and brand touchpoints, creating a cohesive world that feels fresh, memorable, and easy to engage with. The project explores how thoughtful branding can reshape perception within a familiar category, using clarity and visual confidence to turn a simple product into a stronger brand experience.
